Integration of public services surely needs integration of data
Jakarta (ANTARA) - State Apparatus Utilization and Bureaucratic Reform Minister Abdullah Azwar Anas has said that the creation of a platform for data exchange is part of an effort to promote national digital transformation.

The data exchange platform has been created on the basis of the improvement of raw data and individual data exchange regulation, main data domain stipulation and identification, and access to the budget to develop and operate the platform, he informed.

"Digital transformation progress is carried out through collaboration of One Data Indonesia (SDI), both at the central and regional level through synchronization of SDI, creation of systematic and structured guide, and improvement in participation of SDI," the minister said in an official statement received here on Tuesday.

According to the minister, the two main tasks that are currently being prioritized are the integration of public services under the electronic-based governmental system (SPBE) and the integration of SDI data.

"Integration of public services surely needs integration of data. So, if this goes successfully, as per President Jokowi's (Joko Widodo’s) directives, Indonesia will have one data-based integrated public services scheme," he explained.

He commended the National Development Planning Ministry's initiative, which has extended its support for the progress of digital transformation.

The National Development Planning Ministry is supporting the coaching of SDI as a national data exchange in its role as coordinator of the electronic-based governmental system.

"We commend the National Development Planning Ministry who have commenced assistance for One Data Indonesia services. We all know that data and information domain in the National SPBE Architecture through SDI implementation serves as the foundation of national digital services," he added.

National Development Planning Minister Suharso Monoarfa said that SDI is responsible for facilitating data exchange through a platform.

In the Draft of the Presidential Regulation on digital transformation progress for national digital services integration issued by State Apparatus Utilization and Bureaucratic Reform Ministry, SDI has been given a new mandate.

"For the data exchange platform to go in a structured and systematic manner, there needs to be a clear legal basis that bounds. Hence, in this matter, there needs to be a regulation that governs raw data and personal data exchange, which have yet to be regulated clearly in our current instruments," Monoarfa explained.

He said that the final product of the data exchange will be the SDI portal, which will cater to public interests, business interests, government-to-government interests, and state civil apparatuses.
