This also indicates the very important role of MSMEs in contributing to Indonesia's economic growth
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia Creative Work (KKI) Exhibition 2023 has recorded business deals worth Rp207.3 billion that comprised export realization and the signing of business agreements during the Export Business Matching series.

The achievement increased by 21.5 percent (year on year/yoy) compared to the result of Export Business Matching in the KKI 2022.

"KKI 2023 is a joint MSME stage that is expected to boost the motivation of MSME entrepreneurs to further increase their creativity, innovation, and enthusiasm to continue to grow to become Indonesian MSMEs Upgrade, Go Global, Go Export, which can encourage sustainable economic growth," Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI) Juda Agung said in a statement obtained here, Monday.

At the 2023 KKI event, the online sales turnover reached Rp68.2 billion, while offline sales turnover touched Rp12.2 billion at 12 p.m. local time and will still increase until the end of the 2023 KKI exhibition tonight.

Agung lauded all ministries, institutions, agencies, MSMEs activists, as well as MSMEs actors for their direct and indirect involvement so as to ensure the smooth running of the 2023 KKI.

KKI activities, which are the result of synergy between BI and ministries and institutions, associations, industry, aggregators and potential buyers, are featuring 19 events comprising an opening ceremony, 1000 MSMEs class promotion celebrations, three Creative Work Shows (fashion shows), and Hall of Inspiration (HOI).

They also present four export and financing business matching series, four talk shows, three "Pesona Kopi Nusantara" events, as well as offline and online MSME product exhibitions, creative maker space, synergized interaction space with ministries and agencies, and education space (Consumer Protection and Proud of Rupiah).

A total of 98,337 participants were recorded in various activities conducted during the 2023 KKI, while visitors to the KKI website have reached 39,208 and visitors to the KKI exhibition offline from the first day until noon today were recorded at 11,832.

"This shows that even in the midst of global economic turmoil, which also affects domestic economic conditions, the public interest and enthusiasm to buy and use national MSME products is still very high. This also indicates the very important role of MSMEs in contributing to Indonesia's economic growth," Agung remarked.

BI presented 1,000 fostered micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) that had upgraded at the 2023 KKI event.

"The 2023 KKI, with the theme 'Badarau Nusantara,' displays 1,000 MSMEs that have successfully upgraded, gone global, and gone digital," BI Governor Perry Warjiyo stated during the opening ceremony of the 2023 KKI that was monitored online in Jakarta, Thursday (July 27).
