"There was a fire in the Mount Rinjani National Park area in Aik Berik, Central Lombok Regency," Head of TNGR, Dedy Asriady, stated in Mataram on Friday.
The land fire in the Aik Berik hiking trail erupted in the forest area that has a function of conservation.
Asriady said the cause of the fire has yet to be known, and his personnel were headed to the scene to extinguish the fire.
According to Asriady, the CCTV had captured the fire that had broken out.
"The officials are going to the scene to extinguish the fire and find out the cause," he remarked.
Until now, the fire was still burning and TNGR's officers, along with the local disaster management agency (BPBD), were heading to the scene.
