As a member of the G20 Troika during India's presidency in 2023, Indonesia's concrete form is supporting the discussion on three priority issues of public digital infrastructure, a safe and resilient digital economy, and digital expertise for the future workforce in this year's Digital Economy Working Group (DEWG).
"Indonesia is grateful for India's leadership and looks forward to future collaborations among G20 members to create a digital future that is resilient, safe, and inclusive for all, where no one is left behind," Setiadi noted in a statement received in Jakarta, Monday.
Setiadi assessed that the efforts of the Indian Presidency in this year's G20 have encouraged endeavors to share knowledge in public digital infrastructure among member countries, which is considered to be important, as the digital economy can create new opportunities for growth and prosperity as well as new challenges.
In addition, Indonesia highlighted the importance of discussing security issues in the digital economy sector, so that safety and security factors can also be prioritized to support digital economy resilience.
"In future, further exchanges will be carried out on how we, as a global community, address various challenges and problems in new technologies," he affirmed.
Furthermore, related to the issue of developing digital skills, Indonesia is taking a position to support this discussion at the global level.
In this position, the Indonesian Government supports investments in training and education that play an important role in enabling society to make the most of the opportunities of today's digital transformation.
"This is done to equip the community to face challenges in the future due to the emergence of new technology," Setiadi remarked.
At the DEMM of the DEWG of India's G20 Presidency, Minister Budi Arie Setiadi was accompanied by Secretary General of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics Mira Tayyiba and Head of the International Institutions Center of the ministry Ichwan Nasution.
