"We have 600 seats in each train, (but) we prepare 500 to 550 seats per train series at the time of the trial, and that includes (seats for) affected residents along the rail line who have been prioritized to experience the train first," PT KCIC's GM corporate secretary, Eva Chairunisa, informed here on Saturday.
During the free trial, she said, there will be a total of 8 trips, with 4 trips each from Bandung and Jakarta.
"This trial will last for one month throughout September 2023," she added.
Chairunisa said her side has carried out several preparations for the trial of the high-speed train, starting from the certification of facilities and infrastructure, accessibility readiness, to the readiness of stations.
"When we talk about a trial that involves passengers, we talk about services, so we hope that the preparations can provide comfort to all passengers not only during the trip, but also when at the station," she said.
Meanwhile, Cibiru Selatan Bridge, which connects Tegalluar Station with Gedebage area, will support access for train passengers.
State-owned toll road operator PT Jasa Marga will also build the KM 151A and 151B toll exits to support access to the station.
Meanwhile, the access to Halim Station in Jakarta is still being constructed. The station will be integrated with Greater Jakarta LRT Station.
The trial is aimed at introducing the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train to all Indonesians, rather than testing the train's feasibility, Chairunisa said.
"Because its feasibility has been tested before the trial with passengers. We have conducted trials on the coach, the inspection train, and infrastructure and facilities," she explained.
The trial will start in early September 2023 and will be free for all.
