Jakarta (ANTARA) - Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno said the "KAWS:Holiday Indonesia" exhibition that presented a 45-meter-long and 15-meter-tall KAWS statue, with Prambanan Temple in the backdrop, will attract tourists.

"I am sure it can be a big magnet and also attract tourists," Uno noted in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Minister also commended the selection of Prambanan Temple as one of the locations for the exhibition in the KAWS tour in the world.

"This is the last location of the 10 sites that had been visited by KAWS in its world tour. This is super epic because it is the one and only KAWS that was exhibited at a UNESCO world heritage site," he stated.

Uno is certain that the exhibition, which presents a fine blend of world contemporary art and the beauty and splendor of Prambanan Temple, will lure more tourists and will become an effective promotion for Prambanan Temple to the world.

"When this art is seen in the evening before sunset, the appearance of twilight violet will become a beautiful backdrop with the splendor of Prambanan Temple," he stated.

The contemporary artwork made by Brian Donnelly is on display in the grounds of Brahma Temple at the Prambanan Temple Complex on August 9-31, and it can be enjoyed directly by the visitors.

Donnelly said he is honored that his sculpture can be showcased in Indonesia, where this artwork can be enjoyed by the public and also become part of the dynamic cultural landscape in this country.
