"Palu city offers a wide range of investment opportunities in various sectors, including the service sector, a sector that has been growing," Rasyid said during his meeting with Benabdellah in Palu, Central Sulawesi.
The mayor informed the Moroccan envoy that the city mainly relies on the potential of its services sector since it serves as the capital of Central Sulawesi province.
Rasyid stated that his administration is currently making efforts to develop a special economic zone (SEZ) in Palu to stimulate the growth of the industry sector.
"It is essential to tap into opportunities and potential of investment, and we, the regional government, are open to that end," he added.
Rasyid underscored the importance of maintaining security and conduciveness in attracting investment, adding that Palu city is a safe, open, and hospitable region.
"We can guarantee that Palu, as the capital city of South Sulawesi, enjoys a high level of security and order in its society, owing to its residents' high level of tolerance," he said.
Rasyid said that he and Benabdellah will further discuss cooperation opportunities in the tourism sector and other natural resources.
The day prior to his meeting with the mayor, Benabdellah met with the Governor of Central Sulawesi, Rusdy Mastura, for a similar discussion.
