In a statement released in Jakarta the same day, she said that in recent years, there has been considerable demand for cabin crew from airlines in Saudi Arabia.
This is in accordance with Saudi Arabia's ambition to achieve its 2030 vision to improve the tourism sector, including the aviation sector.
"You all have an important role in supporting Saudi Arabia's vision," Fauziyah told the cabin crew.
There has been demand for cabin crew such as flight attendants, pilots, and cabin service assistants from Saudi Arabia Airlines, Flydeal, and Flynas.
Fauziyah revealed that based on data from the Indonesian Embassy's labor attaché in Riyadh, there are 300 Indonesian cabin crew working in Saudi Arabia, and another 250 will be joining them.
"It means that the need for Indonesian migrant workers in the aviation sector is very high and not less than other sectors," she said.
She added that Indonesian migrant workers have a good reputation in the international aviation sector.
"This could give a positive contribution to strengthening the ties between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia," Fauziyah said.
She emphasized that the government will maintain its commitment to optimizing the protection of Indonesian migrant workers and continue to improve the governance of worker placements.
Meanwhile, a cabin service assistant who has worked with Saudia Airlines, Sharrah Dzundza, expressed her gratitude for her chance to work abroad.
She received information about work opportunities abroad from Binawan social media and KarirHub SIAPKerja of the ministry.
"I created a SIAPKerja account to get a job seeker ID. Making the ID was quick and easy; after a health check and waiting for a visa, I finally left for Saudi Arabia," Dzundza said.
