Money politics can take the form of social activities with the objective of worship and the desire to serve others with money or goods.
To tackle money politics, people must improve their political literacy as it is evident that electing leaders based on the amount of money they bring in will not allow for the emergence of qualified leaders in Indonesia in the future, he said.
According to Tanak, politicians who initiate dawn attacks will be watched closely by law enforcement agencies.
His warning came as a reminder to state civil servants and government officials to refrain from indulging in corrupt actions.
Tanak said the KPK can be found almost anywhere because members of the community are also the commission's members.
People who are aware of or find indications of corruption can disclose their concerns using the system designed for whistleblowers. They can submit their reports to the KPK through the application so they can be followed up on.
The whistleblower mechanism was officially established in Riau Province by Tanak and Governor Syamsuar.
