Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) promotes the investment potential of the National Capital, or IKN Nusantara, to the Greek delegation comprising embassy staffs and business actors.

"The focus of IKN development refers to the reforestation mission because in reality, the area currently being built is industrial land that will later be reforested through plant seeds, one of which is from the Mentawir Nursery," OIKN Secretary Achmad Jaka Santos Adiwijaya noted in his statement in Jakarta, Saturday.

Adiwijaya also remarked that the development of IKN is based on binding law in accordance with Law No.3 of 2022 about the National Capital, meaning the leadership succession cannot stop the pace of IKN development.

To support this, an Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Committee has been formed that is tasked with assisting OIKN in the environmental, social, and governance fields.

"The development of IKN certainly prioritizes green, smart, and global-minded concepts with profitable investment potential," Adiwijaya stated.

This has become an interesting discussion with businesspersons from Greece.

OIKN received a Greek delegation not only from the embassy but also business actors at Jakarta's OIKN Office, and both parties discussed the vision of sustainable development and investment potential in IKN.

At the meeting, OIKN was represented by Secretary of OIKN Achmad Jaka Santos Adiwijaya and Achmad Adipati Karnawidjaja as head of the Representative Office in Balikpapan. From the Greek side, there were several representatives including, Greek Ambassador to Indonesia Stella Bezirtzoglou, Owner of Law Offices of Basil T. Patkos Shipping Lawyer Vasileios Patkos, and Owner of Le Convivial Spa Business Paraskevi Kechri.
