"Through this event, young people could get to know more about Mojokerto and help promote Mojokerto and its history. I believe this can be applied in places other than Mojokerto," Tanoesoedibjo stated here on Wednesday evening.
The International Youth Jamboree took place at the Ubaya Training Center (UTC) in Trawas, Mojokerto, on November 6-9.
The deputy minister said her side has coordinated with Mojokerto District Head Ikfina Fahmawati in exploring efforts to promote local tourism, especially related to the history of Majapahit Kingdom.
"The ministry is present for all, including Mojokerto, which is part of the tourism (destinations). We coordinate with the district head of Mojokerto on how to continue to promote Mojokerto's history," she stated.
She praised the jamboree participants, as members of today's younger generation are the future leaders of the nation along with the demographic bonus that the country will experience.
"We must prepare human resources from now on," she stated.
She said the younger generation will carry the baton of leadership.
"Young people are at the forefront of all sectors, (and) some will be entrepreneurs, state leaders, legislators, and also workers that will increase productivity," she stated.
She strongly believes that maintaining Indonesia's diversity is a duty, and human resources are the nation's treasure that must be prepared.
"The future is now, not tomorrow," she affirmed.
Meanwhile, Mojokerto District Head Ikfina Fahmawati thanked the organizer of the International Youth Jamboree.
She also said that Mojokerto is a national cultural heritage region, as it is believed to be the center of the Majapahit Kingdom.
"Representing the people of Mojokerto, we welcome (tourists) to the 'full of Majapahit greatness,'" she stated.
