"In my conversation with the Founder of H2O Racing, Nicolo, I was informed that Indonesia is considered the best organizer in this event and this will be conveyed in Sharjah (UAE) next week," he said in Balige District on Sunday.
He explained that Lake Toba, Indonesia, was trusted as the location for the 2023 Aquabike Jetski World Championship, which was attended by 118 riders from various countries.
Uno said Lake Toba successfully held two international water sports events in 2023. "The Aquabike Jetski World Championship 2023 could attract more than 100 thousand spectators," he said.
He said that the tourism and creative economy sector and the local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) were benefited from the event.
"Despite the rain, people were enthusiastic, and most importantly, the hotels were filled and MSME products could be sold. There was positive economic impact on the community in the four districts which became the venues," he said.
H2O Racing founder Nicolo Di San Germano said Lake Toba is one of the world's best locations for the water sports event.
According to him, Lake Toba is highly attractive and unique and it is possible to become a training ground for Aquabike and F1 Powerboat riders.
Because of its splendor and beauty, Lake Toba, which became the venue of this event, deserves to be known by more people in the world, he said.
Meanwhile, Acting Governor of North Sumatra Hassanudin informed that the hotel occupancy rate during the Aquabike Jetski World Championship event reached 100 percent.
