"Digital transformation is meant to shift conventional working patterns to ones based on digital technology. In this context, the government is using the Indonesia National Single Window (INSW) system," Indrawati noted in a statement received in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Indrawati made the statement during the Coordination Meeting of the INSW Steering Committee in Jakarta on Monday (November 27).
The minister affirmed that by utilizing the INSW system, the government could facilitate various activities, including business processes prior to and during the arrival of transport, cargo clearance processes, and the delivery of cargo to domestic markets.
She also emphasized the importance of streamlining, synchronizing, and simplifying business processes while integrating systems managed by different ministries and institutions to further develop the INSW system.
By doing so, Indrawati stated that the government will be able to use the INSW system as a tool for various purposes, including strengthening the Maritime Single Window, tracking documents and goods, supporting the Indonesian Quarantine Agency, and facilitating logistics businesses.
"We do expect all ministries and institutions to provide support, so that we can continue to augment information systems that can help business players and boost economic activities," she remarked during the meeting.
The Finance Ministry's INSW Office held the coordination meeting to strengthen implementation of the INSW system, improve the management of exports and imports to encourage economic growth, and enhance services dedicated to business actors.
Various issues were discussed during the meeting, such as the management of data and information in the INSW system, Service Level Agreement, Business Continuity Plan, formation of units dedicated to INSW services, and harmonization of codes of ports and airports.
Representatives of 17 ministries and institutions that are members of the INSW Steering Committee participated in the coordination meeting, including Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto and Communication and Informatics Minister Budi Arie Setiadi.
