Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) received 323 letters of intention (LoI) from investors looking to invest in the new capital (IKN) Nusantara by the first week of December 2023.

OIKN financing director Naufal Aminuddin said that the figure reflects a significant increase compared to the 304 LoIs submitted as of the end of November.

"The interest to invest in IKN by domestic and foreign investors is very big," he highlighted at a virtual socialization event for Law Number 21 of 2023 on Monday.

He said that 47 percent of the investment interest has come from countries such as Japan, Singapore, China, Malaysia, South Korea, the United States, Finland, and Spain.

However, the majority of investors keen on investing in IKN are still from within the country and are priority investors, Aminuddin added.

Most of the 323 LoIs are for the services, energy, and property sectors.

They are followed by the technology, water, transportation, health, education, office, waste management, finance, construction, and urban and industrial areas sectors.

He said that all the investors will invest in IKN based on a pure scheme and public-private partnership (PPP).

Currently, there are nine residential PPP projects for state civil apparatus (ASN) and Indonesian Defense Forces-National Police (TNI/Polri) personnel consisting of 261 towers and 159 landed housing units, as well as one school. The overall investment through the PPP scheme has reached at least Rp55 trillion.

"This is a significant value, and it will increase over time because the number of investors who are interested in investing through this PPP scheme is relatively large," Aminuddin said.

He informed that under the nine ASN and TNI/Polri residential projects, PT Summarecon Agung Tbk will build six towers (252 units), Nusantara Consortium 60 towers (2,160 units) and 95 towers, PT Perintis Triniti Properti Tbk eight towers (208 units), and PT Nindya Karya eight towers (266 units).

Further, PT Intiland Development Tbk will develop 41 towers (2,555 units) and 109 landed houses, Maxin Global BHD 10 towers (644 units), IJM Corporation 20 towers (1,078 units), PT Rockfields Properti Indonesia three towers and 30 landed houses, and PT Ciputra Development Tbk 10 towers (720 units) and 20 landed houses.

Meanwhile, in one education project, the construction of a school at IKN through a PPP scheme will be carried out by Cikal School.
