Jakarta (ANTARA) - Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini and other ministry officials installed additional tents for 69 families affected by landslides in Sukabumi, West Java.

According to the ministry's statement released here on Friday, Rismaharini visited those affected by the landslide in Sekarwangi Village, Cibadak Sub-district, Sukabumi.

"We prepare additional tents to accommodate 69 families. If they are not enough, we have to discuss the location (for more tents) with the Sukabumi District Government," she stated during her working visit at the Sukabumi landslide disaster post on Thursday (January 25).

Rismaharini remarked that more tents can be built if location is available.

Meanwhile, the ministry's logistical assistance to deal with the landslide impact was distributed earlier on Wednesday (January 24).

The ministry's Acting Director of Social Protection for Natural Disaster Victims Muhammad Delmi stated that some assistance had been distributed from the nearest warehouses.

"Logistical assistance from nearby warehouses has been distributed. There are clothing and food that can be used in an emergency," he remarked.

The assistance distributed by the Social Affairs Ministry included 300 instant food packages, 400 packages of instant side dishes, 50 sheets of mattresses, 20 tents, 50 blankets, eight packages of adult clothing, 30 family kits, 160 packages of children's food, five packages of kids wear, and five packages of baby clothing.

The Ministry of Social Affairs and Social Welfare Volunteers (Tagana) also built an integrated disaster post with the Sukabumi District Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD), the district's social office, the Indonesian Military (TNI) personnel, the police, and other volunteers.
