"I hope that this hospital would benefit the people. It is important to coordinate with the BPJS (Health Care and Social Security Agency) and other relevant institutions to implement the hospital's social function,"
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Deputy Chief of the National Police (Polri) Commissioner General Agus Andrianto, on Tuesday (January 30), officiated the Bhayangkara Hospital built in Blora District, Central Java Province.

The Bhayangkara Hospital, designated as a level IV hospital, lies on a land of 22,629 square meters on a roadway that connects the districts of Blora and Grobogan.

"I would like to thank the Blora district government for granting its land for development of the Bhayangkara Hospital. Hopefully, this hospital will continue to grow," he remarked during the inauguration ceremony, as quoted from his office in Jakarta on Tuesday.

During the launch of the hospital, Polri provided free medical services to locals residing around the hospital. The services include health examination, blood donation, oral and eye examinations, screening for cervical cancer, and circumcision.

Moreover, the Police distributed some five thousand packages containing staple goods to those in need.

On the occasion, Andrianto highlighted the social function of the Bhayangkara Hospital by emphasizing the importance of operating the hospital as an instrument for serving people, especially those with low financial capacity.

"I hope that this hospital would benefit the people. It is important to coordinate with the BPJS (Health Care and Social Security Agency) and other relevant institutions to implement the hospital's social function," he stated.

He then suggested that the hospital management prioritize local medical workers in its employee recruitment process as an effort to open more job opportunities for talents coming from Blora and its surroundings.

The deputy chief further affirmed that Polri would continue to help Indonesia bring progress to its health care, including by building related infrastructure and facilities, producing capable human resources, and ensuring quality health services.

"Hopefully, this hospital will continue to enhance its quality," he concluded.
