Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Manpower Ministry held the Naker Fest at Pos Bloc here on Saturday to educate Gen Y and Gen Z about the employment programs and activities carried out by the government.

"In this event, we want to convey to the public regarding the activities that have been carried out by the ministry," the ministry's secretary general, Anwar Sanusi, informed here on Saturday.

According to him, the Naker Fest had youthful themes and a relaxed style to attract Gen Y and Gen Z visitors.

Unlike a job fair, the event featured a talk show about employment issues, vocational training information, and workers' mental health.

The talk show discussed ways to build good working relationships, problems faced in the era of economic transition, where some jobs are gone and others are growing, as well as the current, more flexible work environment.

"We need to give this information to Gen Ys and Gen Zs," he said.

Sanusi also highlighted the Siap Kerja (Ready to Work) Platform at the event.

On the platform, visitors can create a job seeker profile to get information about job vacancies that match their profile.

The ministry targeted to draw three thousand visitors to the one-day Naker Fest.

To attract visitors, the event also featured a performance by Indonesian singer Tulus at the end.

"We expect around three thousand visitors, which means they will come and go. There will be a performance from Tulus at the end of the event, which is expected to attract more to come," Sanusi said.
