Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Nusantara Capital City Authority (OIKN) will launch the IKN Command Center in its fifth wave of groundbreaking this week.

"The OIKN will also launch the Command Center. The visualization of development that takes place in Nusantara, East Kalimantan, can be seen later," OIKN spokesperson Troy Pantouw remarked here on Monday.

He noted that the IKN Command Center can operate immediately after the launch.

"There will also be a visual view of the physical development of the situation and an analysis of the input from the media," he stated.

Apart from the IKN Command Center, the construction of a state-owned tech enterprise will also be launched during the groundbreaking this week.

"There will also be a state-owned tech firm that will carry out the groundbreaking (this week). The details will be conveyed D-2 or D-1 before the day," Pantouw remarked.

The fifth wave of groundbreaking will be carried out on Thursday, February 29, and on Friday, March 1.

"The groundbreaking is expected to be opened by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi)," he remarked.

According to the Nusantara Smart City blueprint, the development of Nusantara implements a smart city concept by combining information technology and public service to improve its residents' quality of life.

The IKN masterplan includes national digital transformation; physical infrastructure; and effective, responsive, and sustainable city concept.

By utilizing policies supported by technology, the smart city implementation can optimize any resources, improve public service, and realize an innovation-friendly environment.

Smart city principles also include optimization, integration, inclusivity, circularity, and openness that become the foundation of IKN's development.

With these principles, IKN is expected to be a national identity, Indonesia's future economic driver, and a sustainable global city.
