Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia's Home Affairs Ministry urged regional authorities to finalize their preparations for the upcoming simultaneous regional elections scheduled for this November.

The ministry's Home Affairs Policy Strategy Agency head, Yusharto Huntoyungo, stated that regional governments should ensure the preparedness of their budget, voter participation, state apparatus neutrality, and election dispute handling.

"As our regional elections will take place by year-end, we expect the time we have right now is enough to prepare it so as to ensure a better and more perfect election is organized than our last one," Huntoyungo noted as per the statement here Wednesday.
