Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning is planning to build a special regional office in Nusantara, East Kalimantan, to provide bureaucratic support to handle agrarian matters in the new capital city.

During the national coordination meeting of the Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) in Jakarta on Thursday, the ministry's secretary general, Suyus Windayana, said that the regional office would help the OIKN by ensuring conformity between the spatial utilization activity plan and spatial planning (KKPR) permits.

"We are planning to erect a special regional office dedicated to assisting the OIKN. The office will offer all services related to spatial planning, land acquisition, land rights, and KKPR permits," he said.

Windayana added that his side will coordinate with the State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform (PAN RB) Ministry to discuss the organizational structure of the planned special regional office.

"We will discuss the organizational structure of the regional office with the PAN RB Ministry. So, we will wait for approval from the ministry," he said after the coordination meeting.

He further said that as of March 11, the ministry had issued 19 KKPR permits in Nusantara. Four of these permits were granted to the National Road Management Center of East Kalimantan for the construction of an airport access road.

The secretary general added that the Public Works and Public Housing Ministry has applied for KKPR permits, one of which is for the utilization of 569.33 hectares of land to build water infrastructure, including Sepaku Semoi Dam.

The national coordination meeting of the OIKN sought to bring together ministries and institutions responsible for Nusantara development as well as relevant regional governments to discuss the capital city development plans, investment, spatial management, and expected economic benefits resulting from the national capital relocation.
