"It is a good suggestion to double-check the data on social education assistance in the field. I will remember this," acting Governor of Jakarta, Heru Budi Hartono, said after a plenary meeting with the Jakarta Provincial Legislative Council (DPRD) here.
He affirmed that his administration will continue to ensure that the data on KJMU recipients is on target.
His administration has opened KJMU service posts in five administrative city areas and Seribu Islands district, to ensure that education assistance can run well and is on target.
"We have prepared KJMU service and consultation posts at education office units in five administrative cities and Seribu Islands district to make it easier for the public to obtain information related to social assistance in the education sector," the Jakarta Education Office's acting head, Purwosusilo, informed.
The posts are open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. local time and following office working hours during the month of Ramadan.
Earlier, Jakarta legislator Agustina Hermanto, popularly known as Tina Toon, said she had come to know that poor people have been removed from the lists of KJP Plus and KJMU recipients.
"Not all residents can afford it, especially children, many need the KJPs. Do not let their data be erased," she said at the plenary meeting.
She informed that she had received reports from residents in her constituency that their access to KJP Plus and KJMU assistance has been cut off since February 2024.
