"In the era of digitization, the digital economy has become the mainstream trend. Hence, the digital creative hub is expected to help Acehnese youths keep up with the ongoing digital transformation,"
Banda Aceh (ANTARA) - The Communication and Informatics (Kominfo) Ministry is planning to develop a digital creative hub dedicated to assisting young talents in Aceh in stimulating digital economic growth in Indonesia's westernmost province.

"The planned digital creative hub is meant to serve as a platform and network for Acehnese youngsters indulged in the digital economy," Kominfo Deputy Minister Nezar Patria remarked in Banda Aceh City on Friday (March 29).

Patria made the statement during his visit to the development site of the Aceh Youth Creative Hub, which sits on an area of 600 square meters of land within the complex of the Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises Office of Aceh.

Patria noted that the digital creative hub is envisioned as a place that will facilitate Acehnese young people to discuss developments in digital businesses while learning more about digital marketing, data science, and artificial intelligence.

He remarked that the Kominfo Ministry is planning to erect the hub as an effort to welcome and prepare for the demographic bonus projected to take place in Indonesia in the 2030-2045 period, during which the country's population will be dominated by people of the productive age group.

He expressed belief that the period would drive Indonesia's digital economic potential to grow even stronger.

"We hope that the existence of the creative center will encourage Acehnese youths to further bolster their creativity, create innovations, and hone their skills and competencies, so they will be ready to compete and create new job opportunities," he stated.

The deputy minister also invited Acehnese youngsters to think out of the box to break free from reliance on local government's budget in doing business.

"In the era of digitization, the digital economy has become the mainstream trend. Hence, the digital creative hub is expected to help Acehnese youths keep up with the ongoing digital transformation," he concluded.
