Minister Yasonna Laoly stated that remission and sentence reduction are granted to inmates and children in conflict with the law who have striven to improve themselves and do good while serving their time in prison.
"Remission and sentence cut is an indicator that inmates and children in conflict with the law have observed rules in prisons and have participated in prison programs properly," Laoly noted, as per the official statement received here on Tuesday.
