“Congratulations, Rimpu Mantika. Let us preserve this heritage for future generations, as our goal is to boost the economy and create job opportunities,” Uno said while opening the Rimpu Mantika Festival in Bima City on Friday night, as quoted in a statement on Saturday.
He added that Rimpu Mantika managed to become one of the premier festivals in Indonesia, as it was included in the ministry’s Karisma Event Nusantara (KEN) in 2024.
He noted that the festival has convinced tourism experts and players that the festival is successful.
The festival celebrates Bima’s cultural wealth and the remarkable micro, small, and medium enterprises. Themed “Heritage of Bima,” it showcases the unique richness and beauty of Bima culture and the creative economy.
Uno remarked that the festival was not just a parade of traditional fashion, but it also presented the richness and beauty of Bima culture and the creative economy that is no less unique.
Acting Bima Mayor Mohammad Rum expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy for its support.
"Hopefully, this event would not only be held once a year, but if possible, at least once every two months in order to bring people and investors to Bima City," Rum stated.
