This year, UI Open Day was themed "Empowering Your Journey: Unlocking Opportunities at the University of Indonesia."
Secretary of UI, Agustin Kusumayati, said here on Monday that UI strives to provide a stronger path for high school and vocational high school students to face the future.
"We want to provide the best for the community and country. To get to that point, there is a stage to obtain the best higher education. UI is one of the best universities in the country," she added.
Therefore, UI opened its doors so that the public can get to know UI, including what study programs are offered at the university and how to become a part of the UI academic community, she said.

Head of the public relations bureau of UI, Amelita Lusia, who served as the chair of the 2024 UIOD committee, said that UIOD is held annually to provide a comprehensive picture to prospective students and the entire community about UI.
This year, more than 10 thousand people came for UIOD over two days, she informed.
"The visitors were very enthusiastic because this year, UIOD not only provided information about UI, but also information related to new student admissions," she said.
In addition, outstanding UI students held motivational seminars, while UI alumni, Salwa Rafila, an outstanding student from the 2021 UI Vocational Education Program, shared her success story.
During UIOD, the university also shared information about campus facilities, student activities, tuition fees, scholarships, and the technical admission of new students.
