Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) is collaborating with ACWA Power for the construction and development of green power plants at Indonesia's new capital city in East Kalimantan..

President Director of OIKN-owned enterprise PT Bina Karya, Boyke P. Soebroto, welcomed the collaboration with the Saudi Arabian company and expressed hope that it would be followed up immediately.

"Next week, we will hold a meeting to ensure that ACWA Power Indonesia's participation in IKN development can be implemented immediately," Soebroto remarked in Jakarta, Tuesday.

The collaboration was agreed upon by the signed memorandum of understanding by Soebroto and ACWA Power Country Director for Indonesia Meftaur Rahman in Jakarta.

OIKN-owned enterprises need to expand opportunities for cooperation with national and international investors, in line with President Jokowi's government policy regarding investment, which is reflected in the Law on Job Creation as a breakthrough in improving the investment ecosystem.

Hence, collaboration in developing green power plants in the IKN is one step of many in responding to these challenges.

"This is a strategic collaboration for PT ACWA Power Indonesia," Rahman affirmed.

Rahman highlighted that the collaboration aims to support the development of a green electricity generation network, including transmission network, distribution, and other supporting facilities in the IKN area.
