Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Law and Human Rights Ministry said here on Friday that it has finalized the draft of the human rights development road map for Indonesia for the next five years.

The ministry has prepared the human rights development road map to conduct human rights data integration and to establish a data center. The road map finalization was carried out in Sentul, West Java, from May 1–3, 2024.

"The ministry's Directorate General of Human Rights has a big duty and function, one of which is making the human rights development profile," director of human rights information systems and technology at the ministry, Eko Budianto, said in a ministry statement received here on Friday.

The finalization of the draft human rights development road map involved the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) and Statistics Indonesia (BPS).

In addition, the former commissioner of the National Commission on Human Rights (Komnas HAM), Ahmad Taufan Damanik, and director of Indonesian human rights watch group Imparsial, Gufron Mabruri, also took part in the activity.

"This activity is expected to result in a sustainable system, not only in information technology or in hardware or software, but including the technical mechanisms in it," Budianto said.

Meanwhile, in his presentation, Damanik shared his experience regarding the development of the Information System of the National Human Rights Resource Center.

Mabruri outlined his approach to and method of human rights analysis.

"The input and sharing from these two speakers will be used as insights in the preparation of the grand design of the human rights development profile," Budianto said.

The three-day activity focused on discussions related to human rights data and information governance in Indonesia.

Budianto said that the discussion was intensive and produced a draft for the grand design of the human rights development profile road map, which will be finalized again in the next stage.
