"We presented the World Water Forum Pedia as a source of reference. We have spread it to the community through various communication media," the director general of public information and communication at the ministry, Usman Kansong, told ANTARA on Wednesday.
The content provided through the World Water Forum Pedia is available in two languages, namely Indonesian and English, so that all the information in the online encyclopedia can be accessed by Indonesian citizens and foreigners.
The World Water Forum Pedia can be accessed via the https://s.id/worldwaterforumpedia microsite.
In addition to important information about the forum, it also provides registration information for members of the general public who are interested in participating in the forum.
Kansong informed that as of Wednesday, the World Water Forum Pedia page has been visited 2,600 times, with the infographic feature accessed the most by visitors.
Indonesia was chosen to host the 10th WWF, themed "Water for Shared Prosperity," during the General Assembly of the World Water Council (WWC) in Senegal in 2022.
The forum is an international meeting of stakeholders in the water resources sector, such as governments, parliaments, multilateral institutions, academicians, and civil society, among others.
The forum will focus on discussing four issues: water conservation, clean water and sanitation, food and energy security, and mitigation of natural disasters.
Through 244 sessions, the forum is expected to deliver concrete results on the mainstreaming of Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) on Small Islands, the establishment of the Center of Excellence on Water and Climate Resilience, and the designation of World Lakes Day.
