N Penajam Paser, E Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry readied a special location as the center of creative economy micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) during the Independence Day Anniversary commemoration ceremony in the new capital Nusantara.

Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, in an official statement from his ministry on Friday, stated that the MSME center will become operational in July or early August of 2024.

The MSMEs that will be involved during the ceremony, scheduled to be held on August 17, 2024, have received guidance and training from the Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN).

Uno explained that around 300-400 MSME players will be involved in the first Independence Day commemoration ceremony to be held in Nusantara.

"After the creative economy center is established, MSMEs that have been coached and assisted by OIKN can be creative and carry out training activities. Hence, when the ceremony is held, they will be ready," he remarked.

He further noted that the ceremony, which is expected to be attended by more than six thousand participants and invited guests, is projected to run smoothly and provide beautiful memories.
