"The facility construction work and other preparations are going well and on target," Ariotedjo noted on his official Instagram account @ditoariotedjo as monitored from here on Wednesday.
He explained that the work to construct the North Sumatra Main Stadium was 41.27 percent complete, while construction of the Harapan Bangsa Stadium in Aceh had reached 31.35 percent completion.
Ariotedjo spoke of having held a cross-ministerial meeting, including with Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy and Home Minister Tito Karnavian.
He also met with the provincial governments involved in the PON preparation and the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI).
In addition to discussing about the preparation of PON supporting facilities, the meeting was held to ensure the existence of the local governments' support for the event and the training for athletes.
"Hopefully, all of the preparations will be completed according to plan," Ariotedjo remarked.

At the 21st PON, the total number of sports to be competed in reaches 34, with 46 sports branches and 602 matches.
Deli Serdang District will be the location for most sports competitions, including for athletics, bike racing, equestrian, volleyball, bowling, badminton, cricket, lion dance, karate, gymnastics, football, taekwondo, wushu, and pencak silat.
Meanwhile, Medan City, the capital of North Sumatra, will hold kabaddi, boxing, e-sports, dance sports, aquatics, bike motocross (BMX), billiards, bodybuilding, golf, and table tennis matches.
The mountain bike or MTB event will be held in Karo District.
The Serdang Bedagai District will hold the sand volleyball match, while Siantar City will hold the kick boxing match, and Toba District will hold water skiing.
The wrestling match will take place in Binjai City, combat sambo in Langkat, and open water swimming in Simalungun District.
