Bali (ANTARA) - The Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) and the Indonesia Investment Authority (INA) established a collaboration to attract global investment to Indonesia's new capital city Nusantara in East Kalimantan.

OIKN Head Bambang Susantono welcomed the cooperation with INA. He assessed that the cooperation utilizes global networks that have been established by INA and strategic development projects from OIKN to boost investment in Nusantara.

"The signing of cooperation pact with INA is a follow-up to the President's directions for INA to facilitate OIKN in realizing foreign investment in Nusantara," he remarked here on Sunday.

OIKN is collaborating with INA to increase economic development in Indonesia, especially in the new capital.

The signing of this strategic partnership document was carried out in Bali on Sunday.

According to him, there will be a Letter to Proceed (LTP) handover from OIKN to the Emirati state-run renewable energy company Masdar.

"This is a step forward in the realization of foreign investment in Nusantara through the KPBU (Government and Business Entity Cooperation) scheme," he remarked.

He also stated that by combining the resources and expertise of both parties, this partnership aims to develop Nusantara as a dynamic and sustainable economic center.

Meanwhile, the Chair of the INA Board of Directors Ridha Wirakusumah stated that INA will actively facilitate the exploration of opportunities for investment by leading global investors in Nusantara.

"The partnership with OIKN enables us to direct investment strategically, to develop Nusantara as Indonesia's capital city that meets world-class standards, to improve its residents' life quality and to make a positive contribution to Indonesia's economy," he remarked.

He affirmed that in the last three years, INA had established strong relations with investors in various parts of the world.

"To date, INA and its investment partners have invested more than US$3.2 billion. This initiative reflects our commitment to attracting smart capital that is strategic and in line with Indonesia's long-term development goals," he said.
