"I hope that in future, events that promote our products will be oriented toward environmental sustainability. That way, we can promote and boost the appeal of our creative economy," he remarked while attending the Citra Semasa Piknik event in Jakarta on Friday.
He expressed belief that adoption of the sustainability concept at more events would help Indonesia to polish the appeal of its tourism, boost the movements of domestic tourists, and draw in a higher number of international tourists.
Uno then lauded the fact that Citra Semasa Piknik prioritized the promotion of innovative sustainable products and secured a spot in the top 10 of the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry's Karisma Event Nusantara (KEN).
"We have monitored over 3,500 events, curated 100, and identified the 10 best events, with Citra Semasa Piknik being one of them. This event was chosen for its unique concept, innovation, consistency in improving its quality, and adoption of the green concept," he stated.

The minister then encouraged all creative economy entrepreneurs to apply the ministry's "3G" tagline, namely gercep, or move quickly, to welcome Golden Indonesia 2045; geber, or move together, to collaborate with the government; and gaspol, or go full throttle, to create job opportunities.
He further deemed the Citra Semasa Piknik to be a highly strategic event, noting that his deputy, Angela Tanoesoedibjo, would also attend the event.
"We hope that this event will economically benefit our nation and help elevate the living standards of our people," he remarked.
He then commended female illustrators taking part in the event through the creation of limited edition products.
