"(If you do not have a certificate, the owner becomes worried) 'maybe my (land) will be evicted tomorrow, someone will break in, it will be claimed by an irresponsible party," said Agus in Bandung District, West Java on Sunday.
He said people will be calm if they have a land certificate.
He stated that if people do not have a land certificate, then as long as the property they owned does not have legal certainty, like one in Kutawaringin, Bandung District, who only got his land certificate today after his house had been standing for almost 60 years.
According to him, that situation must be avoided because land without title certification is vulnerable to being caught in land mafia cases.
"This is why the government continues to aggressively carry out certification programs, namely PTSL, Complete Systematic Land Registration," Agus said.
Not only improving the implementation of the program, he said that his party is now also strengthening the use of digital systems to issue electronic land certificates.
He said that the digital certificate was safe and well recorded in the Ministry of ATR's database, so it could not be easily duplicated, duplicated or falsified.
Apart from that, Agus said that land certification is important to avoid overlapping ownership with other residents, companies and government assets.
He also asked people who do not yet have land certificates to immediately register their property at the city/district Land Office or the local provincial of BPN Regional Office.
"It is very easy, come directly to the Land Office, which is at the city district level, or come to the BPN Regional Office, that is at the provincial level. We will help and we will serve the best we can," he added.
