"I appreciate all the Indonesian delegates in the ILC forum. I heard they became an example for other countries in this year's ILC as a unified delegation," she remarked in a statement from her office on Sunday.
Speaking at a luncheon with the Indonesian delegation for the 112th ILC in Geneva, Switzerland, on Saturday (June 8), she lauded the tripartite delegation consisting of representatives of workers, employers, and the government.
Fauziyah then asked all parties to continue strengthening social dialogue in facing global challenges, such as artificial intelligence, the green economy, and the economy platform.
"We must also ensure that the national employment ecosystem is in line with decent work principles and international standards," she added.
Furthermore, in accordance with this year's ILC theme, namely "Towards a Renewed Social Contract," she hopes all Indonesian delegates will be active in discussions and building networks with the International Labor Organization (ILO) and other member countries.
This is necessary to address other important issues discussed in the ILC, including the economics of treatment and protection against biological hazards, she pointed out.
Fauziyah emphasized that the results of the ILC discussions would have a significant impact on the employment sector in Indonesia.
"We must get prepared to implement the results of the ILC so we can provide maximum benefits for workers and entrepreneurs in Indonesia," the minister addressed.
On that occasion, Fauziyah also hoped the Indonesian delegation's participation in this year's ILC could strengthen the national employment ecosystem, realize decent work, and promote social justice for all Indonesians.
Especially for the tripartite delegation, the minister lauded the support from trade unions and employers' organizations in commemorating the 2024 May Day, which ran safely and orderly.
"Hopefully we can continue to maintain and improve this harmonious tripartite partnership," she said.
