In a press release cited here on Wednesday, Head of TNI AU's Information Center First Marshal Ardi Syahri noted that the water pumps were delivered from the Raden Sadjad Air Base in Natuna, Riau Islands, to East Kalimantan on Tuesday (June 11).
He remarked that the delivery mission was mandated by Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) General Agus Subiyanto and Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono.
In response, the TNI AU decided to dispatch a Hercules A-1340 aircraft to pick up the water pumps in Guangzhou and Shandong, China, before transporting them to the Raden Sadjad Air Base in Natuna.
The Hercules aircraft belonging to Squadron 31 of the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base Jakarta landed in Natuna on Monday (June 10) at around 5:20 p.m. Western Indonesia Standard Time after five hours of flight.
"From the Raden Sadjad Air Base, the aircraft took the water pumps to Dhomber Air Base in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan," Syahri revealed while noting that the pumps will then be delivered to IKN.

He then remarked that the delivery mission was part of TNI AU's efforts to assist the government in accelerating the development process of Indonesia's future capital city.
During his latest visit to Nusantara, President Joko Widodo drew attention to the importance of ensuring a proper water supply system at the IKN before relocating his office there.
"I am optimistic about the office there. We are still waiting only for one thing, which is water supply, to be ready by July," he remarked while inspecting the construction of the Presidential Palace Complex on June 5.
He noted that the newly inaugurated Sepaku Semoi Dam in North Penajam Paser District would supply water to IKN.
