Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia's Manpower Minister Ida Fauziyah is exploring opportunities to transfer productive-age human resources competency from China.

During her working visit to the Shanghai International Training Center (SITC) on Friday, she discussed potential collaborations.

"We will collaborate with SITC, particularly focusing on competency-based training across all community-based job training centers in Indonesia," Fauziyah said.

She listed several potential works to be carried out by both parties, namely support for the development of training for instructors at the Central Technical Implementation Unit (UPTP) and the UPTP Vocational and Productivity Training Center (BPVP).

Other collaborations will include benchmarking training center partnerships with the industrial world and quality management benchmarking in training center facilities, as well as technical assistance for developing vocational training programs.

Fauziyah said that the collaboration aims to harness Indonesia's demographic bonus, similar to China's approach.

"The abundant pool of productive-age human resources must be complemented by enhancing their quality to adapt to openness and changes in the labor market," she added.
