Escorted by security vehicles, Jokowi arrived at the location at 1:17 p.m. local time and headed upstairs to pay his last respects to the late national figure after being greeted by local military and police officers.
Vice President-elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning Minister Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono accompanied the head of state on the occasion.
Several national figures and politicians had arrived earlier at the residence, including 6th Vice President Try Sutrisno, 10th and 12th Vice President Jusuf Kalla, 11th Vice President Budiono, and Deputy Speaker of the House of Representative (DPR) Rahmat Gobel.
A hearse belonging to the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) has been readied to transport Haz to his final resting place in Bogor, West Java.

Haz, born on February 15, 1940, in Ketapang, West Kalimantan Province, served as the vice president from 2001 to 2004 during the administration of 5th President Megawati Soekarnoputri.
After concluding his vice presidential duties, Haz ran for presidency in the 2004 election, with former transportation minister Agum Gumilar as his vice presidential candidate.
However, the pair was defeated in the first round of the election, which saw Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Jusuf Kalla emerge as the victors.
Haz served as investment minister under President B. J. Habibie's government in 1998 before assuming the post of the coordinating minister for people's welfare in President Abdurrahman Wahid's cabinet the following year.
He also once served as deputy speaker of the DPR for a short period before serving under Wahid.
