In a statement received here on Wednesday, the ministry's head of goods and services bureau, Zulvia Dwi Kurnaini, explained that the training is part of the National Proud to Use Indonesian Product (Gernas BBI) and Proud to Travel in Indonesia (BBWI) program.
Kurnaini highlighted that the participants were taught about creating unique business concepts, making financial reports, the importance of licensing, digital payment adoptions, and using affiliate program for sales, among other skills.
The online segment of the training was conducted from June 20 to July 5, 2024, during which some 360 MSMEs participated.
"The hybrid onboarding training was held on July 23-24, 2024, with 150 MSMEs participating offline and 210 MSMEs participating online," she remarked.
Kurnaini stated that the ministry also offered health-themed trainings. She noted that some 50 MSMEs participated in one training hosted by the ministry's directorate general of disease prevention and control.
Moreover, 100 MSMEs partook in a training hosted by the ministry's directorate general of pharmaceutical and medical devices on July 17-18, 2024.
She remarked that MSMEs curated from the digital skills training program will have the opportunity to present their products at the climax or conclusion of the Gernas BBI/BBWI program, known as Harvesting.
In the same statement, the ministry's head of communication and public services, Siti Nadia Tarmizi, said she expected the Gernas BBI/BBWI Harvesting program in Central Kalimantan to improve the people's economy through empowerment.
She stated that the event will be held in Palangka Raya on August 14-17, 2024. She believes it is the result of collaboration between the ministry as the campaign manager, the Central Kalimantan Government, and Bank Indonesia.
