Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) stated that the 2025 draft state budget (RAPBN) focuses on optimizing revenue, ensuring quality spending, and fostering innovative financing.

He made this statement at the plenary meeting of the House of Representatives (DPR) for the 2024–2025 sitting period, held at the Parliamentary Complex in Jakarta on Friday.

Jokowi also noted that the tax ratio will be optimized to enhance fiscal space while maintaining a favorable investment climate, supporting business sustainability, and protecting the people’s purchasing power.

"Spending will be managed to be genuinely efficient and productive so that in addition to supporting the government priority programs, it can also create multiplier effects on the economy," he said his speech on the RAPBN for the 2025 fiscal year and financial notes.

He further remarked that the 2025 RAPBN emphasizes flexible and prudent financing innovations, which will be developed through public-private partnerships, strengthening the role of the investment authority, and encouraging financial market deepening.

To support these plans, the 2025 RAPBN allocates state spending at Rp3,613.1 trillion (approximately US$229.91 billion). This includes Rp2,693.2 trillion (approximately US$171.53 billion) for central government spending and Rp919.9 trillion (approximately US$58.56 billion) for transfers to regions.
