"We anticipate this figure to continue rising throughout the exhibition," said Christhophorus Barutu, head of the Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) in Sydney, in a statement on Thursday.
The Trade Ministry supported Indonesia's participation in the event, which featured six exhibitors showcasing healthy food and beverages, seafood, daily necessities, and authentic Indonesian cuisine.
Barutu noted that the exhibition served as an indicator of the food and beverage industry's growth in Australia, New Zealand, and the Asia-Pacific region. He expressed optimism about Indonesian products' prospects in the Australian market.
"Our participation in this exhibition aims to bolster the positive image of Indonesian products in Australia. It presents opportunities for new business partnerships and trade cooperation, especially with Australian partners," Barutu remarked.
Indonesia's presence at Fine Food Australia 2024 demonstrates the government's commitment to promoting Indonesian exports, particularly to the Australian market.
"All stakeholders, including the government and businesses, must work together to promote Indonesian products," Barutu stated. "Collaboration is also essential to ensure that Indonesian food and beverages meet Australian government standards."
