IKN (ANTARA) - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin called on ministers in the Onward Indonesia Cabinet to complete their duties and programs that have been running well during the remaining period of President Joko Widodo's administration.

"My message for them is to make a good report on our successes. Complete things that are still delayed and also give suggestions to the new government so that there is sustainability," Amin remarked.

The vice president conveyed this after attending the last Plenary Cabinet Session at the Garuda Palace, IKN Nusantara Capital City, East Kalimantan, on Friday.

VP Amin underscored the need to resolve various pending matters.

"Everything, including some economic matters, have been planned. There are some regulations that need to be completed. There are ongoing programs. Some need to be transferred to the next government," he remarked.

According to Amin, in the five years of the Onward Indonesia Cabinet administration, the ministers have worked together well and achieved maximum results.

That way, he said, public trust and satisfaction remain high.

"There must be shortcomings, but overall, it goes well," he remarked.

VP Amin also highlighted that President-elect Prabowo Subianto, who is also part of the current government where he serves as defense minister, has emphasized his readiness to continue programs that have been running well.

"He is part of the current government, and he will continue (the programs). This is really a sustainable process. He will continue to work on what had not been achieved before. The transition is going well," he noted.

During the last plenary cabinet session, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) also urged all members of the cabinet to immediately complete the main work programs before the end of his term on October 20, 2024.
