Her closing statement received a standing applause from Banggar members.
"I hope that this dedication can contribute to building Indonesia. Thank you, everyone," she said at the parliament complex here on Tuesday.
She emphasized that state budget management must keep prioritizing competence and honesty in the future.
"Of course, what we have been working on together for many years is not perfect. To create a more prudent, effective, and people-based state budget, I hope that state financial managers will always prioritize competence, skills, and most importantly, honesty," she added.
Indrawati said that the design and discussion of the 2025 State Budget is a shared responsibility.
She added that state finance is not just an accounting matter, but also a Constitutional mandate.
During her last meeting with Banggar members, Minister Indrawati expressed her gratitude and offered apologies for any mistakes made to all members and asked them to continue to monitor the 2025 State Budget's implementation.
"Ladies and gentlemen, members of Banggar, my friends in the government, please be willing to give an 'ocean of forgiveness.' Let's make sure that every rupiah in the state budget can provide the greatest benefits for the people," she remarked.
Earlier, on September 4, 2024, the House Budget Committee and the Finance Ministry agreed on the provisional posture of the 2025 State Budget, with the non-tax state revenue (PNBP) target set at Rp513.64 trillion and central government spending capped at Rp2,701.44 trillion.
