Prabowo emphasized his eagerness to start working right after his inauguration as president of Indonesia to fulfill the promises made during his campaigns.
His promises are summarized in 17 priority programs and eight quick impact programs.
Here are the 17 priority programs of Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka:
1. Self-sufficiency in food, energy, and water
During the campaign period, Prabowo underscored the need for Indonesia to be independent in food production through several strategies, including building food estates for rice, corn, and cassava.
Good water governance, according to the upcoming government's vision and mission, is important as it not only ensures water availability during drought but also prevents hydrometeorological disasters during the rainy season.
Meanwhile, regarding the energy self-sufficiency target, Prabowo-Gibran believes that Indonesia can become the world's main supplier of green energy through the development of biodiesel and bio-aviation fuel products from palm oil.
The upcoming government also seeks to develop bio-ethanol from sugarcane and cassava and green energy from wind, solar, and geothermal plants.
Prabowo is optimistic that the biodiesel B50 and E10, or the ethanol and gasoline mixture fuel programs can be realized in 2029.
2. Improvement of the state revenue system
The second priority program to be implemented by the Prabowo-Gibran administration is improving the state revenue system to carry out the mandate of Article 23A of the 1945 Constitution.
The Prabowo-Gibran government plans to increase the capacity of state revenue institutions to obtain financing sources for sustainable development.
3. Legal and bureaucratic reforms
The pair is determined to suppress the practice of money politics, increase equality, and ease access to politics.
The next government is keen to uphold the principle of equal rights for everyone before the law and reinforce legal certainty in law enforcement.
Legal certainty is considered one of the prerequisites for economic stability and democracy.
To boost bureaucratic reform, the government will continue to conduct digitalization and strengthen the integrated data system.
4. Prevention and eradication of corruption
Prabowo and Gibran believe that corruption causes state budget losses and various problems of financing in state development, which can impact the economy and social life.
5. Poverty eradication
Prabowo and Gibran target eradicating extreme poverty by bringing the rate to zero percent in the first two years of the pair's term and reducing the poverty rate to below six percent by the end of 2029.
6. Drug prevention and eradication
As drug abuse can impact people's quality of life, the government will ensure comprehensive prevention and eradication of illegal drug circulation and build awareness at the family level.
7. Health service for all
The future government plans to continue and improve the social health security program through the state health insurer BPJS Kesehatan.
8. Strengthening education, science, technology, and digitalization
The upcoming Prabowo-Gibran government has vowed to make research and innovation funds reach 1.5-2 percent of the gross domestic product (GDP) in five years.
Government policies, such as the endowment fund, are part of the strategies to strengthen the education sector.
9. Strengthening national defense and maintaining international relations
Prabowo and Gibran believe that a strong country is capable of doing and realizing whatever it aspires to and therefore is respected by the world.

Prabowo-Gibran pair is committed to creating a just and inclusive society by embracing policies and initiatives that protect the rights of women and people with disabilities, including their rights to education, employment, and political participation.

12. Ensuring the availability of fertilizers, seeds, and pesticides for farmers
This is related to supporting the food self-sufficiency target by ensuring farmers get what they need to support their activities.
13. Cheap housing and sanitation for villages and people in need
Prabowo and Gibran have vowed to build or renovate 40 houses in every village annually to support the three million houses per year target.
14. Strengthening MSMEs and continuing Nusantara Capital City development
To support small, micro, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), the next government will continue the loan programs offered for farmers, fishermen, livestock farmers, and other small-scale business players.
It is also committed to continuing the development of the Nusantara Capital City as the new economic center outside Java.
15. Continue downstreaming and industrialization based on natural resources
Downstreaming and industrialization programs will be carried out with the support of technology transfer, local human resource development, and environmental protection.
16. Ensuring religious harmony
Policies that support inter-religious harmony, freedom of worship, and maintenance of houses of worship are part of the priorities of the Prabowo-Gibran government.
