He noted that the task force is a form of commitment from the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning to support the community to protect its land rights.
"Hopefully, the Spartan Command Center can be a command and control post for us to be more focused, serious, determined, and successful in eradicating land mafias," he remarked at the launch of the Spartan Command Center here on Saturday.
According to Yudhoyono, the task force is the main part of the government's land mafia eradication efforts.
The ministry is also cooperating with the police, prosecutor's offices, regional governments, and others for the task force's operations.

Furthermore, he expressed hope that the Spartan Command Center would also resolve land-related cases going on for decades.
During the current government's transition period, Yudhoyono affirmed that his ministry remains focused on its main tasks, including continuing agrarian reform and presenting a better investment climate by providing legal certainty for land in various areas of the country.
Recently, the government exposed two land mafia cases with a potential loss to the state and the community of more than Rp3.6 trillion (around US$232.6 million) in West Java, on Friday (October 18).
"Thank God, at the end of the term, they are not only exposed but it could also be truly explained to the public that the land mafia cases in Bandung (West Java), especially in Dago Elos, can be resolved," he stated.
