Our new President already has the determination, and the next most important thing is his real action.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Some people have expressed the hope that President Prabowo Subianto will implement all the priority programs he listed in his inaugural speech at the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) in Jakarta on Sunday.

"Mr. Prabowo's speech was great and motivating, but what is more important: what he conveyed should be realized during his leadership," Marlinda, a Jakarta resident, said at an event to celebrate Prabowo's inauguration near the Patung Kuda Statue Intersection.

She attended the event with some friends. At the event, people could be seen watching the live broadcast of Prabowo and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka's inauguration ceremony.

Marlinda said that she listened carefully to Prabowo's speech. According to her, the speech was full of optimism about Indonesia's progress.

She said that if realized, the programs listed by Prabowo, such as food and energy self-sufficiency, corruption eradication, and poverty alleviation, will make Indonesia more prosperous.

"Our new President already has the determination, and the next most important thing is his real action," she added.

Jonathan, a resident of Tangerang, Banten province, praised Prabowo's speech, which he described as firm and full of spirit.

He said he is also expecting all the priority programs mentioned in the speech to be realized during Prabowo's five-year term and thereby, have a great impact on all levels of society.

"There are important parts such as food self-sufficiency and corruption eradication, which are our nation's problems, so the (efforts) must be supported so that they (the goals) can be achieved," he added.

Earlier, Prabowo and Gibran took the oath of office for the 2024–2029 term at an MPR plenary session at the Nusantara Building in the parliament complex on Sunday.
