He emphasized that stability and security must be maintained amid various global challenges, such as climate change, food crises, and an increasingly complex geopolitical environment.
"With strong political stability and security, the government’s agenda can be successfully implemented," he said on Friday.
Sitompul noted that Indonesia is on the right path to becoming a sovereign and advanced nation and to achieving the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision by strengthening the Armed Forces (TNI), the National Police (Polri), and diplomatic strategies.
He added that the government’s efforts to enhance coordination among strategic institutions to ensure national security align well with its national goals.
In this regard, Sitompul noted that the nation’s political and security affairs are overseen by Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Budi Gunawan.
"Separating legal affairs from political and security matters allows the Coordinating Ministry for Political and Security Affairs to focus on maintaining national stability and order," Sitompul stated.
He added that the ministry has a critical role in overseeing strategic policies to be carried out by Prabowo, including strengthening the TNI and Polri and modernizing defense equipment.
The ministry should also focus on managing strategic diplomacy and addressing key issues, such as bureaucratic reform and improving cybersecurity.
Sitompul mentioned that Prabowo has emphasized the importance of effective political and bureaucratic reforms, as outlined in the government’s eight key missions, known as Asta Cita.
