Jakarta (ANTARA) - Several ministers participating in the retreat of the Red and White Cabinet at the Military Academy, Magelang, Central Java, reported gaining valuable insights on team cohesion and disciplined working methods.

According to a press release received from the Presidential Secretariat in Jakarta on Saturday, the ministers stated that the retreat had been guiding them to synchronize steps and build cohesiveness among Cabinet members.

"I have an excellent impression. I view this (retreat) as an effective measure for us in the Red and White Cabinet to align steps and frequencies," Youth and Sports Minister Dito Ariotedjo noted in the release.

He expressed confidence that the team-building activities conducted at the retreat could help the Cabinet members work effectively and swiftly as mandated by President Prabowo Subianto.

Religious Affairs Minister Nasaruddin Umar conveyed similar statements, saying that he considers the retreat as a valuable momentum for the president's aides to foster synergy and suggested extending similar training to echelon 1 and 2 officials serving at ministries and other institutions.

Meanwhile, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia underscored that the retreat reinforced a sense of discipline by challenging him to wake up early at 4 in the morning.

"However, this (challenge) is good for discipline. We must always be ready for a call of state duty even if we only have one or two hours of sleep," he pointed out.

State Secretariat Minister Prasetyo Hadi, for his part, drew parallels between the Cabinet and a football team, pointing to the importance of persons in different positions and roles working together cohesively toward common goals.

"It (the Cabinet) is analogous to a football team, where some (players) are in the front, some in the back, while others stationed in wide positions. Nevertheless, all players work as a unit," he stated.
