According to ANTARA's monitoring in the field, ministers arrived in front of the Akmil gate at 10:04 a.m. local time.
Among others, there were Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan, Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, Special Advisor to the President for Political and Security Affairs Wiranto, and Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Corrections Yusril Ihza Mahendra in front of the gate.
Foreign Affairs Minister Sugiono was the last to board the bus, and the group left the gate at 10:17 a.m.
At 10:45 a.m., the group of deputy ministers and heads of government agencies left the Akmil area with VIP buses.
Previously, Vice President Gibran had left the Military Academy area by a white car at 9:38 a.m. local time.
VP Gibran walked from the Akmil area to the front gate and greeted the people who were waiting to see him on Jalan Jenderal Gatot Soebroto Street, and then got on the car.
The retreat agenda was expected to serve as momentum for the Cabinet members appointed for the 2024–2029 term to get to know each other better and build a rapport.
However, President Prabowo Subianto, who presided over the retreat, emphasized that the Red and White Cabinet Retreat was not intended to be militaristic.
He explained that the retreat, which included training and briefings for his cabinet ministers, followed a structured approach often used by the military, government, and companies to instill discipline and loyalty to the nation.
