During his session, Thohir highlighted the crucial role of SOEs as agents of development and value creators for society, the nation, and the state.
"SOEs actively support the people's economy by distributing credit for MSMEs, the Mekaar program for women, and the Makmur program for farmers," he said in a statement on Saturday.
Thohir added that SOEs also promote sustainable development through national strategic projects, such as constructing the LRT and the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed rail.
He emphasized that SOEs' contributions to state revenues through dividends, taxes, and non-tax state revenues (PNBP) further underscore their importance.
Meanwhile, Indrawati addressed issues related to state financial management and sustainable fiscal strategies during the retreat.
Several participants noted that the retreat provided a memorable experience. According to them, the activities went beyond testing physical endurance; they strengthened bonds, aligned visions, and fostered team cohesion among cabinet members.
The retreat emphasized the importance of togetherness, discipline, and unity of vision within the cabinet.
With this renewed spirit, these leaders are expected to guide the government toward more effective and cohesive achievements.
President Prabowo Subianto opened the retreat with a speech on Friday morning, explaining that its purpose is to synchronize the government’s frequency and efforts.
He noted that the best teamwork is seen in football, where all players share common beliefs and goals.
Likewise, Prabowo added, the Red and White Cabinet team must understand that they are competing with other nations.
