Golden Indonesia would be characterized by a comfortable life for the people who will be able to afford basic necessities such as homes and vehicles.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Home Affairs Minister Tito Karnavian on Friday called attention to the significant role of the Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) in supporting the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision.

He also instructed civil servants to build their understanding of the vision and actively participate in efforts to realize it by improving the quality of human resources and supporting innovation in various sectors.

"Golden Indonesia is possible to achieve. (Indonesia's) population will be dominated by the middle class. Thus, I want to highlight the significant role of human resources in achieving the Golden Indonesia vision," he said in a statement issued on Friday.

Based on the projections of several international institutions such as the World Bank, International Monetary Fund, McKinsey and Global Insight (GI), Indonesia will be the fourth- or fifth-largest economic power in the world by 2045.

It may even occupy the top economic ranking, surpassing developed countries such as Japan, Russia, Germany, England, Italy, and France.

It is also projected to join the ranks of top global economies such as China, India, and the United States.

"Golden Indonesia is projected by futurists who look at the development trends in Indonesia as well as the existing global developments," he said.

He added that the Golden Indonesia vision envisages Indonesia as a developed country, whose population will be dominated by a prosperous middle class.

Golden Indonesia would be characterized by a comfortable life for the people who will be able to afford basic necessities such as homes and vehicles. The future Indonesian society is also expected to send their children to school and even go on vacations abroad.

Karnavian said he is optimistic that the Golden Indonesia vision can be realized with efforts to improve the quality of human resources by encouraging gradual and significant transformation.

He emphasized the importance of the role of agents of change at ministries and educational institutions, from basic education to higher education, as the main drivers of improving quality human resources in Indonesia.
